Little Creatures

We are god’s little creatures. We roam his earth through the fire and the stone, we endure the absurdity of life as he takes his place on his throne. We are god’s little creatures. He holds a smile as you weep and scream, he wipes his mouth as you choke. He lies in comfort as you struggle to breath, he crushes his heel against your throat. We are god’s little creatures, he paces idlely as you kneel, he laughs heartily as you pray, he closes his eyes as with the devil you deal, he watches in pleasure for it is his game you play. We are god’s little creatures and we put a smile on his face.
